[Failed] Failed to start File System Check on Root Device

Hi!
For a few weeks now, I had trouble when booting into my pc. I had enough of always having to press Control-D to enter my pc (it works just fine after it), so I turn to you with my problem. I don’t really know which of the following lines are useful in my case.
If anyone helps, thank you for your time and assistance in advance.

There’s one of your problems. Boot a live-cd and run fsck. Reboot, and see if that takes care of it.
