External monitor not recognized

Hi there,

I’ve just finished installing Manjaro in my laptop with all the proprietary drivers as per the installation options, but my external monitor is not being recognized. I’ve selected the “Configure new displays when connected” option under Settings Manager > Display and tried to reboot, but with no result.

It uses integrated intel graphics as well as Nvidia, and I’ve read around these forums different options but I’m just quite lost about what to do exactly. Please any help is much appreciated.

Trying to follow through the options in this thread I used the following command:

$ sudo mhwd -i pci video-nvidia

Warning: no matching device for config 'video-nvidia' found!
Error: config 'video-nvidia' conflicts with config(s): video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-390xx-bumblebe

The solution in that thread is not reinstall the drivers but my error message here is slightly different and I’m not sure if I should proceed?

This is the output for sudo pacman -Qs nvidia and mhwd -l

$ sudo pacman -Qs nvidia

Also, if it helps I got this by reading through the Endeavour OS docs:

Thanks for the help, cheers!
