External monitor not being detected after installing bumblebee driver

Hi everyone, so I’ve recently installed Manjaro KDE on my laptop and has had issues with my second monitor not being detected. More specifically, I’m not using a graphic driver right now because when I install the “video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-390xx-bumblebee” driver from “Hardware Configuration” and reboot, my second monitor doesn’t get detected. Same goes for the “video-nvidia-390xx” driver because then the external display is the only one that works. I’m currently able to use both displays without drivers, but it causes screen tearing which is annoying. First time on the forums and any help would be appreciated, and I’m a newbie.

Hello,

If you go trough this Dell Latitude E6430 - ArchWiki the recommendation is to install the nvidia-390xx from AUR and if you look at the package page, it has the bumblebee-forceunload as optional. That means that in some case actually you have to disable/blacklist bumblebee to have it working properly.

In your case you can use the

or probably best is to install nvidia-390xx-dkms

So I installed the nvidia-390xx-kdms driver and everything works, except for screen tearing on my laptop display (not the external). Is there a way to fix this?

In principle this should do it Intel graphics - ArchWiki
