External monitor always disabled when connected

Hi,

whenever I connect my external monitor is disabled and I need to enable it manually, over System Settings’ Display Configuration (both over HDMI and also DisplayPort). It used to work fine for years until recent Manjaro updates.

How can I force my monitor to be enabled by default when connected?

My graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (hybrid)

Thanks in advance for your help.

The issue has been resolved in the (relatively long) mean time - it was a bug in KDE, more info: 460341 – On X11 with proprietary NVIDIA GPU drivers, external monitor disabled after reboot or wake-from-sleep

At the moment of writing the fix is available on the testing update channel.
