exfatprogs is a re-branding of exfat-utils by SAMSUNG:
https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Exfatprogs-Released
This means that exfatprogs is the newer version and you shoud probably use exfatprogs over exfat-utils as it will provide more functionality in the future.

Tnx for clarification, some time ago I was getting errors using exfat-utils for formatting some usb pendrive but exfatprogs completed the task easily
