Error after new install : no such partition

Installed from manjaro-mate-20.0.1-200514-linux56.iso. All apparently okay but then on reboot

   error: no such partition
  Entering rescue mode...
  grub rescue> _

Solved.

The installer defaults to sda, which in my system is the large data disk. I switched that to sdc, which is the SSD.

However when I did that I did not switch the grub target – which had also defaulted to sda. When I reinstalled using sdc as the boot sector the rest went very smoothly.
