Please advise

I see those same errors but the browser does start on my system.

Yeah on first install, it started for me but wouldn’t start again on reboot (and even upon exiting, before reboot, if I recall); then in subsequent installations it wouldn’t start at all
Moreover, I installed the vivaldi-snapshot package and the same thing happened: first install, started; didn’t start again on reboot/exit nor on subsequent installations

Both times, I synced via Vivaldi Sync (didn’t get much of the settings from my Win OS backup)

In any case, something went haywire
If anyone has any ideas, I’m all ears

how did you install it? The best (and fastest) way is via the herecura repo, so undo whatever you did (& codecs) and install from there :slight_smile:

a) edit your pacman.conf

b) add:

[herecura]
Server = https://repo.herecura.be/$repo/$arch/

Save and update your database

pros: Vivaldi + Web Media on Arch Linux | Vivaldi Forum

(https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Vivaldi )

Try a fresh start and remove the vivaldi profile in ~/.config/vivaldi/.
