So I have a EPSON Ecoprint ET-2711. I got the printer to run but I have trouble with the scanner.
I installed Imagescan.
Then I run utsushi and try to select the usb were the scanner is located.
When I select the USB I get:
Cannot access esci:usb:/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1a.7/usb9/9-5/9-5:1.0
No such device
So what can I do?
Also I tried
[sandro@sandro-pc ~]$ sudo sane-find-scanner [sudo] password for sandro: # sane-find-scanner will now attempt to detect your scanner. If the # result is different from what you expected, first make sure your # scanner is powered up and properly connected to your computer. # No SCSI scanners found. If you expected something different, make sure that # you have loaded a kernel SCSI driver for your SCSI adapter. # Also you need support for SCSI Generic (sg) in your operating system. # If using Linux, try "modprobe sg". # No USB scanners found. If you expected something different, make sure that # you have loaded a kernel driver for your USB host controller and have setup # the USB system correctly. See man sane-usb for details. # Not checking for parallel port scanners. # Most Scanners connected to the parallel port or other proprietary ports # can't be detected by this program.
And scanimage -L:
[sandro@sandro-pc ~]$ scanimage -L device `utsushi:esci:usb:/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1a.7/usb9/9-5/9-5:1.0' is a device `utsushi:esci:networkscan://192.168.0.2:1865' is a EPSON DS-5500 device `utsushi:sane::epkowa:usb:0x04b8:0x0848' is a Stylus Office BX300F
