Emojis are being displayed as squares

When i browse the web through Microsoft Edge Beta, most emojis are displayed as squares, this is a clean install of Manjaro XFCE.

Do you have noto-fonts-emoji installed?

Installing the fonts and generating the cache fixed it

sudo pacman -S noto-fonts-emoji
fc-cache -f -v
