My earphones are not recognised sometimes. After I unplug and plug them in again, they work. Once recognised, they work perfectly without any issues. This happens randomly, sometimes they are recognised on the first try, sometimes not. I know that this is not a hardware problem since the earphones are always recognised on the first try on the same machine on Windows 10.

Do you mean at boot time or they disappear after a while?
Also, the full output of an inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width
would be the minimum required information… (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command).
At boot time as well as when I plug in after login.
I’ve updated the system after I posted the original post.
Output of inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width

Have you tried 5.10 LTS and 5.4 LTS already instead of 5.12 Stable?
I can’t see any headset in the inxi
output. What kind of earphone / headset / … are you using and where they plugged in at the time you performed the inxi
