Dual Boot Manjaro Windows10 Grub

Liebe Forenmitglieder,
eine Frage zum Dualboot von Manjaro und Windows10. Ich habe das bei einem anderen Laptop schon seit 2 Jahren erfolgreich im Betrieb. Zunächst Windows10 installiert…und dann Manjaro (damit Windows Grub nicht überschreibt). Auf EINER Platte mit 2 Partitionen…ext4 und ntfs. Hat wunderbar funktioniert…vorausgewählt im Grub war Manjaro…und wenn ich doch mal Windows brauchte einfach per Pfeiltaste auswählen. Heute habe ich auf einem anderen Rechner…auf dem Manjaro auf der ersten eingebauten 2,5 Zoll SSD bereits installiert ist…auf einer zweiten neuen mSata-Platte Windows 10 eingerichtet. Beides läßt sich starten…aber nur über die Bios-Auswahl der Bootreihenfolge. Manjaro und Win sind beide klassisch via Bios installiert…kein Uefi. Wie bekomme ich ein Grub-Auswahlmenü hin? Wie bei dem anderen Rechner, wo beides auf EINER Platte liegt? Habe schon einmal ein Grub-Update gemacht…in der Hoffnung dabei wird die neue Windows-Platte erkannt…hat so nicht funktioniert.

Windows sollte man grundsätzlich in Dual-Boot-Systemen immer RICHTIG runterfahren, alle Hibernate und Fastboot-Optionen deaktivieren, am besten ganz ausschalten, da das gerne die Windows-Partitionen für Manjaro unzugänglich macht. Secure Boot muss auch im BIOS ausgeschaltet sein.


P.S. Ich habe das mal in den deutschsprachigen Bereich verschoben.

Die Datei /etc/default/grub sollte wie in diesem Post beschrieben geändert werden:

Anschließend mal neu booten, wobei das BIOS die Manjaro-Disk booten muss, damit das klappt.
