The forumuser Nachlese taught how to use manjaro-chroot from a live usb. I think it would be easier to work this way. In tty I for example can not look at the forum or make screenshots. Once or twice during our problem solving here I actually used it. Just update-grub did’nt work, I think because a partition wasn’t mounted or something like it. (And I don’t know the basics ). So maybe it won’t be a big issue for you to tweak your advice for working from live USB and chroot.
