Dolphin does not start for 1 or 2 minutes

Hi, again here
Dolphin does not open immediately. When I launch it, nothing happens for about 1–2 minutes (the cursor shows loading), and then it finally opens and works normally.
I didn’t update my system or change any configuration before this started happening.

journalctl --user -xe | grep dolphin

Any idea?

Thanks!

Hi @ZeR0ByTe,

My first thought when I read this was Network mount. So double-check that if you have any.

Another thing I can think of is a disc problem, so check your disc health:

sudo smartctl -x /dev/nvme0

The last folder you had open was a network folder on another network.

I have a Samba mounted to my RaspberryPi. But I had never problems with it. I don’t know if the problem can be Tailscale (VPN). I have two accounts one self-hosted (headscale) and another one for my work. Just in case

Maybe my RaspberryPi?

Thanks

Might be that. Try commenting the line out of fstab, and see if it helps. If it does the problem is something related to the mount.

When you are connected to vpn - you loose connection to local devices - so your raspberrypi data share will no longer be accessible.

The behavior is normal and expected.

I will try it but only happens when I init the laptop. After that it’s working perfectly.

It’s weird because my raspberry pi has the same software installed (tailscale), my laptop and raspberry pi shared the same vpn it’s not different. Should be ok, right?

Maybe I should change the IP to: 100.64.0.1 (This is the Raspberry IP in Tailscale), right?

I have no idea what you are talking about.

If your raspberry pi and your laptop should be able to connect using a vpn network - then you will have to look at your vpn configuraiton(s) - tailscale is outside my experience.

I had a similar problem.

You could try this:
