I use Manjaro mainly for gaming and i would like to know if the kernel has the fsync patch, it greatly improves performance in games that are able to use multiple cpu cores
5.10 has. Still not where to look for performance it doesn’t greatly improve performance, but at least it doesn’t hurt. Like Esync it is on a game by game basis and system to system basis. I didn’t really notice any difference in any game with Fsync. I still use it though for the sake of it.
5.10 is the one i’m using currently, it’s nice to know that it’s got the fsync patches, would it make a lot of difference for an integrated gpu? i have an Intel UHD 620
