I am on Stable Branch and have not run the latest update, which is to say that I have run the 2023-05-07 update but have not run the 2023-06-04 update. Or had not as of 10 minutes ago. I then wanted to install qbittorrent and so ran these two commands sudo pacman -Sy pamac install qbittorrent T…

While you are free to combine the pacman options as you see fit - there is combinations that puts your system in an unsupported state. Never use a database only update when syncing a new package pacman -Sy pkgname If you know your system is up-to-date - that is a current pacman -Syu then it is …

[image] ManjaroDevOps: E.g. building aur packages - this is possible using CLI even though AUR is not enabled in the config. Yes, but you must have AUR enabled to be able to use pamac install. Without explicit enabling, you have to use pamac build.

Thanks. I read the “Errors about Keys” section you linked and understood something of only the introductory paragraph. PLEASE IGNORE WHAT IS BELOW. I ONLY LEAVE THEM AS THEY ARE CONTEXT FOR SUBSEQUENT COMMENTS. Practically speaking, what should I do? Run the first sequence of commands, i.e. …

A cursory spot-check suggests that these updates are consistent with going from the 2023-05-07 to the 2023-06-04 snapshot .

Thanks. Maybe my understanding of updates is wrong. I thought package updates accumulated somewhere and were released in a batch every 2 to 6 weeks, each batching constituting a post to the “Announcement” board for the Stable Branch (i.e. Stable Updates - Manjaro Linux Forum ). That is, I thought …

In this case, the effort would indeed have to be massive as there are two many terms I do not know the meaning of.

Anyway I found a post that seems to counsel letting it alone. That’s what I am going to do
