Docker IPtables network issue

So I’ve been facing an issue whenever I tried to docker build or docker compose with installing packages or trying to ping from inside the container
My solution for the time being was running docker build image-name --network=host to properly build my images.
After a week from searching and going through stack-overflow and arch wiki i came upon a solution which I will post below.

Here are the following specs for docker and IpTables

Docker:
Docker version 20.10.17, build 100c70180f

IPTables:
iptables v1.8.8 (nf_tables)

First check your cat /etc/docker/daemon.json
I got the following output
{"iptables": false}

And my iptables -L -n showed the following output

Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination

Chain FORWARD (policy DROP)
target     prot opt source               destination

Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination

If you got the same issue continue with the steps

• Delete the file sudo rm /etc/docker/daemon.json
• Restart docker daemon sudo systemctl restart docker.service
• Just to be safe I also restarted the dock.socket sudo systemctl restart docker.socket

After these changes the iptables -L -n showed the following output
