So pretty much my ISP provides two different network connections, one for 2.4 GHz band and one for 5GHz band. The 2.4 GHz network works fine, but when I use 5Ghz network and open something like Google firefox just gives a random error.
However, direct IPs like cloudflare (1.1.1.1) actually work, but still take upto 10 seconds to load. At first I thought it was an issue with the modem’s DNS (192.168.29.1) but even after editing /etc/resolv.conf no luck. Also the direct IP connections themselves are very slow, it takes upto 10 seconds just to download a simple index.html. And this 5 GHz network works just fine on other devices. I think this may be after upgrading from 5.4 to 5.10 kernel, but can’t be sure because I hadn’t used the 5Ghz network for quite a while. Here is my wifi info-:
