Display resolution being forgotten

Hi, I’m running Manjaro with XFCE desktop on a Raspberry Pi4B and I’m encountering an issue where, usually after the connected TV has been switched off/on, the display resolution is reset to 4K. I have to go into display settings to change it back to 1920x1080 which sticks until the next time. I’ve tried disabling screen saver, lock screen in case either of those was the culprit but it still happens. Looking for any ideas or advice please.

In Settings → you can define the screen resolution - but if the TV is detected as new after a power cycle - one idea is scripting.

It is however unclear if the pi is also power cycled…

Hi linux-aarhus, thank you for your reply. The Pi is generally left powered on all the time, and I have anything related to power saving turned off. You could be correct about the TV being detected as new as it does appear to coincide with when the TV has been off. I’m not proficient enough to get round this with scripting though, but I will certainly have a search around to see if I can figure it out. Thank you
