Did I already say, that I love Manjaro?

if not, I need to do it - we are talking about negative topics / trouble shooting all the time.

I really do love this bloody distro.

Why?
It just works.

Kernel 6.12 with my 2070 nvidia under X11 and gnome … just works.

Manjaro makes so many things just easy.

I do run 3 devices now with Manjaro -
one Alienware Area51m with some VMs and enough RAM CPU etc.,
one convertible that I use for "take it with me when I travel (even in the house or garden),
one HP notebook from 2016 or so that my wife uses (she could use a chromebook as well honestly - not really a computer in my thinking  - but anyhow - with Manjaro - as a lady not interested at all in OS or systems or whatever … it just needs to work. And it does.

All systems with Manjaro in office and house just work.

Today I installed WINE on 2 of the three systems - tested it in a VM before, and again … even WISO Steuer 2025 - a really proprietary tax software from Germany … just works.
And the systems don’t care at all.

THANK YOU GUYS in the background for making this possible.
I understand that this is not only Manjaro, but also Arch, Oracle, … whatever.
But you are putting the pieces together for us.
THANKS
I owe you a beer or a coffee or whatever.

Tell you all a secret. If you use qemu and virtio drivers and a second graphic card one can run windows with the second graphic card making its performance almost native so you can not only use any software but also play any game you want with GPU hardware acceleration almost native. This way you can use any software there is.

Oracle’s Virtual box is good. Until you need hardware acceleration. But office software will run just fine.

Thank you for the positive feedback.

I appreciate the sentiment and would definitely take you up on that offer. However, since you apparently are across the pond, you may donate to the project if you feel so inclined.

that`s what I did this morning
