Desktop refuses to suspend or hibernate

Hey guys, I noticed my desktop won’t hibernate nor sleep (when I try, it goes to a black blinking cursor screen and then it just comes back on). I got the uuid flag and everything together (I had manaully partitioned a 17.58G pool for swap on my hard drive when I first installed the OS in the gui installer). Anyone have any idea why my system won’t hibernate or suspend?

Here’s my system information.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Power_management/Suspend_and_hibernate#Troubleshooting

I just tried disabling all apci wakeup devices but even that didn’t fix the issue… the main thing is I can’t even see what’s causing it to not suspend in journalctl or dmesg

Hey, I ran suspendresume tester and I finally found what is stopping it from sleeping/hibernating… it’s apparently the baloo_file_extr process

Nice find
You should easily find how to disable it.
I use xfce, so i am not familiar with kde

Apparently it’s a core package in KDE… idk if it can be disabled

balooctl suspend

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Baloo#Usage_and_configuration

Still not working unfortunately :frowning:
