Desktop manager is not active

Recently I fresh installed i3wm and everything is going fine. But i am facing one problem when i click Desktop Preferences from morc_menu it’s not opening. It’s showing a message “Desktop manager is not active”. I installed open source driver for computer. But I don’t what’s wrong

This message is making sense actually, since the i3wm edition doesn’t use a desktop manager. This means that the option Desktop Preferences is quite useless in i3.

The only thing you can change regarding your desktop, is the wallpaper. This can be done using nitrogen - you can start it using morc_menu or dmenu, or by running nitrogen in a terminal window.
