DeLinuxCo Minimal ISO beta - Testers Needed

Greetings!

DeLinuxCoMinimal is ready for testing! This is the workstation version stripped of all of the productivity apps.

I especially need someone to test it on Real NVIDIA card, I no longer have access to one.

ISO 5.5GB Beta_26.0.2

Will download the iso soon and install it on my Alienware Area51m with a Nvidia 2070.

I am writing this post from the DeLinuxCo minimal ISO installation.

So the system works and the installation went through.

I selected “installation with proprietary drivers” as I do have the Nvidia2070.

Some findings:

  • region and timezone in the installer was not pre-selected to Europe/Berlin even though that I selected this in the very first stage. In Calamares “USA” again was selected - so I needed to change this to Europe/Berlin a second time
  • The NVRam boot order was changed during installation, so I need to go into the BIOS to get my refind back.
  • Keyboard layout was wrong in the installed system. I selected “German” in Calamares, but it installed the US keyboard layout.

Give me a shout if you need anything else.

Thank you @Zauberer-Merlin was not expecting these issues, I will look into them.

And the NVIDIA card worked just fine under Xlibre?

I just worked 10min or so in the Installation. Installed Bitwarden. Used Firefox. Opened this or that App.

And there were no issues or artefacts or anything at all.
So yes, it worked as it should in my really simple „Test“
Again: if you want me to Test anything serious, I Need to know what. Will leave the System installed for a day or two on my drive.

But it will cost you a Beer if we meet sometimes personally

Don’t threaten me with a good time!

I spend my time between the US and Portugal, may have to stop in Germany !
