Default autologin setup - how it is done?

Hello,
I am really struggling to understand, how default autologin in Manjaro KDE (when you choose it from installer) is implemented.

I know there is SDDM, there is option for autologin in GUI settings, but that one is disabled. Yet it still auto login user. Then there is PAM, but cannot understand, how it works all together.

Is there different approach here? Is there any disadvanatge when I start using the SDDM autologin? I would like to switch default session to wayland, which can be done at the SDDM Behaviour settings.

Also KDE Wallet stopped being unlocked automatically.

For these reason I am trying to figure it out, how it works originaly, so I can debug, what I have setup differently.

Autologin is SDDM. Perhaps the option has been set in a different .conf file than Plasma settings GUI expects. SDDM reads /etc/sddm.conf and all conf files in /etc/sddm.conf.d/.

/etc/sddm.conf is a legacy file and should be blank. All changes should be made in /etc/sddm.conf.d/.

KDE saves SDDM settings in /etc/sddm.conf.d/kde_settings.conf

Manjaro adds /etc/sddm.conf.d/00_manjaro_settings.conf and /etc/sddm.conf.d/virtualkeyboard.conf.
