Greetings, I need do deactivate the Clipboard in kde-plasma.
It disturbs the Clipboard in the Citrix VM I use in my job.
I know how to do it in XFCE. there it is the clipman deamon.
Whats the counterpart in kde-plasma?
Right click in the system tray. Select System Tray Settings. Click Entries. On the pull down menu next to Clipboard, select Disabled.
As far as I can tell it is called klipper
:
/usr/lib/libklipper.so
/usr/lib/libklipper.so.6
/usr/lib/libklipper.so.6.2.4
There are other things that seem to be using this library to, e.g. keep a history log under that clipboard button, “Clipboard Contents.”
There is also some discussion about this on the KDE site:
https://discuss.kde.org/t/feature-request-accessibility-setting-for-globally-disabling-enabling-the-clipboard/12573
Others may know more. - Edit: As I said, others may know more. 8)
You haven’t provided much information on how the Plasma clipboard is interfering with the Citrix-VM clipboard.
For example, does it happen every time you highlight text in Plasma, or only when you highlight text in Plasma and press Ctrl+C to copy it?
If it happens every time you highlight text in Plasma, maybe you have your clipboard set to “Keep the selection and clipboard the same”?
If that is the case, it can be easily fixed by right-clicking on the clipboard icon in the System Tray, selecting “Configure Clipboard”, and unchecking “Keep the selection and clipboard the same” in the “General” section of the configuration dialog.
Thank you “Right click in the system tray. Select System Tray Settings. Click Entries. On the pull down menu next to Clipboard, select Disabled.” did it!
