I’ve been playing RimWorld and Amid Evil through Lutris and have dash to dock set to the left side of the desktop. Whenever I’m playing these games the intelligent autohide will act up and start unhiding and hiding the dock in quick repetition. Any ideas how to fix this? I haven’t tested it with other fullscreen applications. I have no issues with it otherwise. I love the feature. I can turn it off and my games work fine.

The version of RimWorld I’m running is the Linux version. Amid Evil is running through Wine.

Are you playing in a borderless fullscreen window?

Yes I am.

That would be why. I’m not sure how Dash to Dock would be able to detect a borderless fullscreen window.

I’m having the same issue, any idea on how I could fix it?

I’m having the same issue in lutris (with AC valhalla) and steam (warhammer totalwar 2 for linux).
Anyone knows how to remove the borderless setting?
It must be adding the command in the launch options but i’m not sure what is the command, i only find how to enable it but not how to disable it.

Thanks!

Found a workaround.
Open “extensions” then go into settings, look for “intelligent autohide” and click on it’s settings icon.
There’s a setting for auto hide: “enable in fullscreen mode” if you disable it then it will prevent the dock from appearing when playing in full screen.

This means you will not be able to open it when in any full screen mode, including playing videos or any other app, if that does not bother then that will do it.

Hope this will help out.

Thanks! I had switched to dash to panel for the time being but now I’m going to give this a whirl. Tried it with one game so far and it worked! I’ll mark as answers once I test it out some more.

Edit: Seems like the setting was all that was necessary to check! Works fine now.
