Custom wallpaper resets when I boot

Hello! So everytime I boot to Manjaro, my custom wallpaper resets back to bamboo at night. Any idea why and how to fix that?

Can’t reproduce. This never happened to me. How did you set it?

Right Click on the desktop, select Configure Desktop and Wallpaper…

Change it in that window, save and reboot.

Only other thing I can think of is that you either don’t have access to the config files, your $HOME when it starts up or you don’t have write permissions to the configuration file for saving the changes.

also in desktop settings check whether “wallpaper type” is set to image. other options might change periodically.

I belive I solved it by changing the location of the jpg to home and then images! Not sure though, but just did a restart and now it works

Custom wallpapers in plasma:
Create .local/share/wallpapers and put your images in wallpapers.
Reboot and select the image through settings/appearance/wallpapers

Not exactly the answer to your question, but I have found that SuperPaper is a good program for managing weird wallpaper issues in Plasma (especially for dual monitor wide images).
