There was a topic (in the german section, I believe) that covered installing and using the original program
exact audio copy
via the use of wine.
Another forum member even created a fully working script to install it.
I’ll look for it - perhaps I’ll find it.

It didn’t seem like you were open to other options.

I use freac, it has a Linux version and works just fine.
