Hello there.
I have been using Manjaro for a few months now, and I have been really happy with how smooth everything has been. Although, after the latest system update, I have encountered a frustrating issue with my display resolution.
Before the update; my monitor was running perfectly at its native resolution of 2560x1440. But now, it seems stuck at 1920x1080; and the native resolution is not even listed as an option in the Display Configuration settings.
I ensured that my graphics drivers (NVIDIA) are up to date using the Manjaro Settings Manager.
I attempted to add the resolution using the xrandr
command; but I received an error saying it could not find the output.
I also reinstalled sddm
as a precaution, but it didn’t change anything.
I checked the Xorg logs for any errors, but nothing obvious stood out to me.
I am running the latest stable branch of Manjaro, and my hardware includes an NVIDIA GTX 1070 with the proprietary drivers installed.
Also, I have gone through this post; https://forum.manjaro.org/t/cannot-change-the-resolution-on-my-display- which definitely helped me out a lot.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can restore my native resolution? Could this be a bug introduced by the latest update? If so; should I report it; or is there a workaround I can try?
Thanks in advance for any help and assistance.
