Continual Issues with PC Freezing during usage

During regular usage it seems that my PC will slowly curtail to a halt, seeming that its losing track of its files.

Sounds like a drive starting to fail. Have you checked your drives’ health?

- Search the kernel ring buffer
Low level failures can prevent journals can log the associated errors. In that case, those logs may nonetheless be present in the ring buffer used by the kernel.
