Considering a Raspberry Pi 4 B (8GB) with Manjaro ARM installed

Hi,
I love Manjaro on my Ryzen PC.
Now i need a small device for my daughter and i’m considering a Raspberry Pi 4 B (8GB) with Manjaro ARM installed.

  • Will this work to do work done for school (Office, Browser, Youtube, …)?
  • Is there a better device suitable?

While I don’t know what your daughter need for school, I can say that the Raspberry Pi can handle decent loads with LibreOffice and browsers. It also plays youtube videos pretty well, at least if you don’t need 1080p@60.

The Raspberry Pi is probably the device that is readily available to buy almost anywhere at this point.
