Connecting my PS3 controller (bluetooth)

Hi!

I’ve been testing Manjaro Gnome using liveusb for a while and I’m tempted to install it, but I have encountered a problem connecting my controller that kubuntu didn’t had.

In kubuntu I just connected my controller using a USB cable, clicked on trust and authorize, disconnected the USB cable and then, my controller connected using Bluetooth, this worked even on kubuntu liveusb.

Manjaro on the other hand never shows this message to trust and authorize, apparently this pop up appears on the Bluetooth settings on gnome but it never shows anything.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Most information you need is documented here: Gamepad - ArchWiki

Make sure those mentioned packages are installed.

I’ve tried that several times and Bluetoothctl never asks me to “authorize service”

were you able to work this out? I can add other bluetooth devices just not the PS3 controller

Here on my notebook, it’s doing this,
NEW] Device 00:07:04:70:99:DE Sony PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller
[CHG] Device 00:07:04:70:99:DE Trusted: yes
[DEL] Device 00:07:04:70:99:DE Sony PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller
[NEW] Device 00:07:04:70:99:DE Sony PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller
[CHG] Device 00:07:04:70:99:DE Trusted: yes
[DEL] Device 00:07:04:70:99:DE Sony PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller

he is deleting from bluetooth alone
