Configure Conky through Manjaro I3

How do I get a custom conky theme to run on my i3wm desktop? There aren’t much tutorials for conky in i3wm.

I do know that the conky files are stored at /usr/share/conky/ , and that i can automatically boot conky at i3’s config file.

Btw, here is the conky theme I’m referring to, made by Deny26:

There is a few locations inside your $HOME directory where you can do and put those custom … configurations

No need to modify the system wide configuration
( /usr/share/conky/)

which will be overwritten anyway by any update to the program.

Changes inside your $HOME will never be touched.

Yep, I’ve already placed my config files there, anything else I need to do or change?

I do not know anything about the conky config file syntax, just that it changed relatively recently.
I do not use conky, never have.

Just make sure you do your configuration not to system owned files
like:
/usr/share/conky/
but to the files inside your $HOME directory
so the changes you made will persist
(it’s also easier - no admin/root required …)
