Combi menu freezes out keyboard at random

Hi, this is for Sway on x86_64. I haven’t used ARM lately.

Since the 12-10-2021 Stable update to Sway, I’ve had a weird symptom on two different installs (internal disk and SD card, same machine). When I pop up the combi menu with $mod+d, the system becomes unresponsive to the keyboard, in or out of the menu, except for the $mod+shift+e reboot combination. The cursor and some buttons are still responsive to the mouse (for example, waybar buttons, the eject button for an external drive mounted in Thunar), but this does not go as far as Thunar menu displays.

Here’s my inxi when things are working normally:

When I run

journalctl --catalog --priority=3 |grep combi

there are no responses, so what’s the cause I wonder?

Thanks in advance,

R

I’m going to mark this solved because this hasn’t happened once since the 12-16-21 update. Whatever solved it, thanks!
