Also, lid close option is gone from Settings->Power Management->Energy saving.

If you are trying to have closing lid do nothing then the following should work.

Try this:

In etc/systemd/logind.conf

Uncomment the following:

LidSwitchIgnoreInhibited=yes
HandleLidSwitch=ignore

in etc/UPower/UPower.conf
IgnoreLid=true

Restart computer for changes to take effect

Unfortunately didn’t work.

Edit: Reading your answer again made me realize that you misunderstood me. My problem is that the laptop does nothing when I close the lid. I want it to sleep. Also the lid settings are gone from Energy settings.

The suggestion is usually correct, however, since yesterday, I do have the same problem.

The log says: Lid closed but nothing else.

With systemctl suspend it works right away as always.

Exact same issue here, also on a Lenovo laptop running KDE, also right after the 24/02 testing update.

This was caused by a bug in upower which is now fixed upstream. You can downgrade upower till next the update.

upower got pushed to testing already and I updated a few minutes after this post… it is fixed now, that was quick :smiley:

Yes, upower 0.99.16-2 works.

Great! That was quick.
