Cloning SSD to external HDD and restoring from the HDD to the SSD with Clonezilla

I was planning to get an external HDD, open a Clonezilla tutorial and hope for the best. However, this guy said something I wanted to make sure I understand:

If I clone an HDD, but restore the image to an SSD, there might be problems?
If I clone from SSD to HDD, there will be no problems?
If I restore an image from HDD to SSD, there will be no problems?

No matter your choice or the direction - you need to understand that the target for restore must be of equal size or larger than the source. The media type is irrelevant.
