For future reference, try to provide some actual information so people aren’t just guessing. In this case you should’ve shown the commands you ran and the output from them.
The only thing we know is that your issue wasn’t caused by the iso.

As a novice linux user (judging by the fact you did not manage to install a package or toggle a switch in the package manager or formulate a question in the forum), you should not really use aur, or community editions. It is even debatable if manjaro is the right distribution for absolute beginners.
If you really want to start using manjaro without breaking it every day, start with a default installation, no aur, no customisations, only repo apps, and read the tutorials and wiki.
Just my 2 eurocents.
