Chromium (with Profile selector) & VSC startup very slow

I just did a fresh install of Manjaro Cinnamon and copied the chromium folder from my previous install.
Now starting Chromium took ~18 sec on a i13700H 64GB RAM.
VSC needs about ~18 sec.

I stubled across this post,

So I uninstalled xf86-video-intel and now Chromium starts in less than a second … and everything else also feels much faster !! (animations of course off !)

Except VSC which still needs ~10 sec … is that normal or did I miss anything

Well, strangely the speedup only worked once ! :frowning:

I timed the startup time for chromium and VSC , and they are both 17~18 sec

Maybe a network thing ?

Chromium I know but what is VSC ?

On my system chromiun is with a blink of an eye.

Electron based applications slight longer e.g. Azure Data Studio - 2-5s, Visual Studio Code :bulb: so that is VSC - that one was new - light moment aside 2-5s.

It is difficult to measure …
