It takes a really long time to open chrome or any chromium (electron) based apps. My computer is not the best but it should not be taking this long since when i was using windows things used to open very fast. Other than chrome taking a long time to open what bothers me most is that the display bugs out while chrome tries to open itself.
Hi @tahlil,
As mentioned in [HowTo] Provide System Information, please provide the output of:
inxi --full --admin --filter --width
And, in case you were unaware:
Tip:
To provide terminal output, copy the text you wish to share, and paste it here, surrounded by three (3) backticks, a.k.a grave accents. Like this:
```
pasted text
```
Or three (3) tilde signs, like this:
~~~
pasted text
~~~
This will just cause it to be rendered like this:
Portaest sed
elementum
cursus nisl nisi
hendrerit ac quis
sit
adipiscing
tortor sit leo commodo.
Instead of like this:
Portaest sed elementum cursus nisl nisi hendrerit ac quis sit adipiscing tortor sit leo commodo.
Alternatively, paste the text you wish to format as terminal output, select all pasted text, and click the </> button on the taskbar. This will indent the whole pasted section with one TAB, causing it to render the same way as described above.
Thereby improving legibility and making it much easier for those trying to be of assistance.
Additionally
If your language isn’t English, please prepend any and all terminal commands with LC_ALL=C
. For example:
LC_ALL=C bluetoothctl
This will just cause the terminal output to be in English, making it easier to understand and debug.

Especially with only:
I have added some swap but the issue still persists.
How much?
Check with htop
are so if you hit max memory and swap while loading,
… And if so, maybe add some more swap…
So i fixed the issue by switching to the testing branch. Maybe some package was messing with chrome since it was installed from the AUR.
Moreover the issue was not with my ram because while opening chrome I don’t hit anywhere near max memory usage.
