Cheese shows black screen with all controls frozen

Hi,

Whenever I am opening cheese, it shows blacks screen with all controls in freeze state(disabled). I can see my laptop webcam light turning on however I couldn’t able to see anything. I checked my webcam by making an MS teams call and I am able to do video chat. Please help me in fixing this bug.

   and post some more information so we can see what’s really going on. Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies…

   An inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width would be the minimum required information… (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)
