I recently updated my laptop but I can’t turn it off , it get stuck on black screen but I can see my mouse pointer, this went for around half an hour then I had to force turn off my laptop.

When I plugged in my charger I can’t see battery icon but when I plugged it out I can see battery icon.

What I’d suggest with the first one is try the linux66 (LTS) kernel. Your machine appears to be new enough to work fine with that.
For the icon, you can set visibility in Plasma by right-clicking on an empty space in the notifications area, selecting Configure System Tray
, click Entries
, then you can set visibility per item as you desire.
