Can't transfer file from laptop to tablet (Samsung Galaxy A7 Lite)

Hello all,

I’ve looked around the forum and wider Internet but I am still stuck, so wondering if someone here can help.

I’m trying to transfer files between my computer to a micro SD to go into a Samsung Galaxy A7 Lite.
I first tried to put the files in the SD card and then insert the SD card into the tablet.

The files went okay in the SD card but never appeared on the tablet. In fact when I put the SD card back into the computer, the files had disappeared.

So I left the SD card in the tablet and plugged it into the computer.

On the tablet, I enabled developer mode, allowed file transfer as the defaults for USB connection, and enabled the debugging mode.

The tablet get recognised by the computer.

But when I try to open the tablet folder, I get this error message:

The file or folder udi=/org/kde/solid/udev/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb1/1-1/1-1.2 does not exist.

How do I manage to access files/transfer files into the tablet?

I am a complete newbie to Manjaro, so assume stupid when answering.

Let me know if you need more info. I’m happy to provide it

Just use kdeconnect and pair your Desktop with the Tablet.
If you insist by USB directly to the Tablet, then set the Tablet in File Transfer Mode. Make sure mtpfs is installed on your Desktop.

Thank you
That solves my problem a lot more easily than what I was trying to do.
