Cant switch between power profiles

I recently upgraded my kernel to 6.1.25-1 (LTS).
After upgrading i cant switch power profiles. Power profile is stuck at balanced mode.

cat /sys/firmware/acpi/platform_profile_choices

shows 3 profiles cool / balanced / performance

but when i try to change my power profile

powerprofilesctl set performance

it gives the following error

Failed to communicate with power-profiles-daemon: g-io-error-quark: GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._g_2dio_2derror_2dquark.Code15: Error writing ‘/sys/firmware/acpi/platform_profile’: Operation not supported (15)

and

sudo systemctl status power-profiles-daemon

shows

Failed to activate driver ‘platform_profile’: Error writing ‘/sys/firmware/acpi/platform_profile’: Operation not supported

Acc this reddit thread, all you can do is to either use any other software to manager cpu frequency or use another kernel.

I was able to switch power profiles on kernel 5.15.108-1 (LTS)

probably will role back to 5.15 LTS kernel.

But any solutions are welcomed.
