I cant install anything!!! I have manjaro for the last 2 years and all was working fine until now. I usually get this message

Something’s wrong with the /usr directory. Firefox isn’t working, Chromium does, cant install anything i mean ANYTHING!
Please help Im desperate I love Linux, I love Manjaro!!

I’m new to Manjaro too and this might be unrelated to your problem:
When I tried installing a few weeks ago I was using a Manjaro from 3 years ago. Unfortunately, I could not update after the install. I never figured completely out why. There were several problems including certificates having expired. I also understand that in December 2019 Arch changed it’s package compression program on updates too.
The question I would ask is, have you UPDATED since December 2019?
If so then, ignore me.
If you haven’t then it might be this problem with the compression program. I hope someone can clarify which program was affected.

Thanks for the response, but i have updated several times. I think that (not sure though) an update caused this problem.
