Can't edit/change/add anything in HDD

Good day. I was planning on creating a new folder in my HDD, but I can’t. The Create New + button can’t be clicked and it showed me this.

Could not change permissions for /run/media/soumi/Luna.

What should I do?

Is that an external HDD?
or are you talking about another partition in your primary hard drive?
Do you have windows alongside manjaro ?

It’s an Internal HDD

My Manjaro is install in HDD. Before, I can still edit/change/add files in my HDD but now I can’t

Windows is on SDD
Manjaro is on HDD

Please provide

inxi -p
ls -la /run/media/soumi/Luna

I’m don’t have much knowledge about this stuff but disabling fast startup in windows might help (that’s what helped when I had a similar issue)

Thanks for the link! But I already have both fast boot and safe boot disabled

Then try to:

  • Start into windows
  • In windows select restart (not shutdown)
  • When the computer restarts don´t let it start into windows, but start into manjaro
IF this helps, then you should recheck if windows does hibernate !

If you cannot write to NFTS partitions you need to ensure the filesystem is error free.

Run chkdsk in Windows
