Can't create Wiki account to translate into Romanian

CAPTCHA is What is the manjaro wiki url? or What is the manjaro discover url? or What is the manjaro forum url? or What is a supported Manjaro edition?

My answers: https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php/Main_Page or https://software.manjaro.org/ or https://manjaristas.org/branch_compare, or https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php or https://forum.manjaro.org, or plasma.

None accepted.

I tried in Firefox Private addon-less environment.

With your current level of English (pretty much not understandable) you shouldn’t even think about translating.

P.s. for the sake of other readers: accounts are created manually from administration on request, if you have something to contribute.

Further to comments from @Teo please also be aware that Wiki editing is restricted to members who have achieved Trust Level 3 (TL3), or greater.

Regards.

It might be expecting kde instead of plasma. Other possible answers are: xfce or gnome.

Perhaps you’re thinking of gitlab?

You can create an account on the wiki and post edits, but the edits need to be approved (at least to start with).

I think that’s just for the forum wiki style posts.

It stands to reason that the limitations would be the same, however, let’s seek the official word – @Aragorn

Just tried logging into the wiki with my forum account, and I couldn’t.

I felt so insulted. I only did an attempt to shorten the topic.

Please give me an example of a mistake from my post that made it not understandable.

Sorry I didn’t mean to offend, it was meant as constructive criticism however I was a bit terse, and your post is really not as bad as I said. I’ve removed the offending comment.

To be fair, your post is ok once you’ve figured out the structure but I think a short introduction would’ve been helpful. The first sentence just threw me off for a minute, it’s not a structure I’m used to parsing (quotes might’ve helped with that).

Sometimes more is better.

Anyway have you managed to make an account yet?

Sometimes less is more.

Using your examples, I might perhaps have responded with simpler answers; for example:

Q: What is the manjaro wiki url?
A: wiki.manjaro.org

Q: What is the manjaro discover url?
A: (I don’t know what that is, or if it still exists)

Q: What is the manjaro forum url?
A: forum.manjaro.org

Q: What is a supported Manjaro edition?
A: KDE Plasma

These examples aside, I still can’t guarantee such answers would have been successful.

General forum information has been included (below) in case it might be appreciated.

Regards.

Welcome to the Manjaro community

As a new or infrequent forum user, please take some time to familiarise yourself with Forum requirements, and the many ways to use the forum to your benefit:

Update Announcements

The Update Announcements contain important information and a Known Issues and Solutions section that should generally be checked before posting a request for support.

System Information

Output of this command (formatted according to forum requirements) may be useful for those wishing to help:

inxi --filter --verbosity=8

or the short form:

inxi -zv8

Be prepared to provide more information and outputs from other commands whenever asked. It’s equally important to provide as much actionable information as possible in your first post, rather than simply indicating there is a problem.

This is functioning.

Yes, thanks.

I could translate a little by appending “/ro” in the URL, but it lasted only until a refresh. I am a native Romanian speaker.

My wiki user is SilviuBogan.

Paging the @wiki maintainers.

@silviubogan I’ve merged your new topic into your existing one.

I see you’ve created an account and submitted translations. Please note that the team that approves new changes is small and may take time.

Having said that, we do have a lot of pending translations in other languages as well. I will most likely approve them all when I have time.
