Can't connect to wifi

Good afternoon
Well… I’m very new in Linux, and I have a problem when I try to connect to wifi :(. I had tried many tutorials with drivers and codes in the terminal, but nothing’s fixed.
I’m using a Lenovo G475, with AMD E-300 APU.

When I try to activate the wifi option, nothing happens (the check mark doesn’t appears).
And I have a slow level of english ^^", so… I’m sorry if my description isn’t well.

I would really be very grateful if someone can help me!! :'3

It’s likely a driver issue.

What can i do to find the correct driver =(?

Probably in the AUR. Since you haven’t told us which wifi adapter your laptop has, we can’t help much.

Before anyone can be of much help, we need some information about your system. You can find out how to post the information by following this link. Please return here and post the information.

Thanks, and sorry for the time :frowning:

rt3090

For devices which are using the rt3090 chipset it should be possible to use rt2800pci driver, however, is not working with this chipset very well (e.g. sometimes it is not possible to use higher rate than 2Mb/s).

I don’t have an answer to fix the issue. I am just doing this for more visibility.

EDIT: Okay. The answer that I can think of “fixing it”, is to get an external WiFi dongle for your laptop that is compatible with Linux.

I don’t have a laptop. But for my computer I went with the USB TP-LINK TL-WN822N which doesn’t appear in found compatibility list but works well in Linux:-

Ow, thanks, maybe i’m going to use the ethernet cable for a while in order to get a external card in the future
