I’m using an Acer laptop where I partitioned the drive. Install worked and the files are there, but the grub won’t show up. It boots me directly to windows. I’ve tried selecting the EFI file but the one for manjaro wasn’t anywhere there and there’s no new entry in the boot priority, only windows.
Some manufacturers sell computers that doesn’t fully comply with the UEFI specs and it’s quite difficult to install anything else than Windows there. Acer is usually one of them.
But before jumping into conclusions, have you checked that your system is prepared? For example, you can read this to get some points: [root tip] Dual boot Manjaro and Windows. Specially you have to be sure that Secure Boot is disabled.
