Cannot wake up from hibernate after latest update

After the latest (10-08-21) update, my laptop cannot wake up from hibernate. All I see after wake up is the manufacturer logo and then black screen. There’s nothing in journalctl either.

journalctl --system --boot=-1

I’m also having issues with resuming from suspend or hibernate. In my case, journalctl -b-1 seems to be the log from the last boot that actually worked, it seems like I don’t get any logs at all for the failed resume (but maybe I’m just misinterpreting). In fact it locks up so hard I can’t even REISUB. No ttys are available. If I hit Ctrl+Alt+F1 I can see some startup output but it’s just hung in the middle, without any errors.

I have the problem on both 5.14 and 5.10
