Based on this comment
lo network interface, does not connect to any network
So still I have no network interface!

I remember seeing topics on this before.

There should be support in the kernel for it with the module rtl8xxxu.

The driver r8188eu has been part of mainline kernel since 2021.

Did you remember the kernel headers when you installed the dkms driver mentioned?

If I was right 510 Of course I am very skeptical

@linux-aarhus

  • delete package yay -Rcns 8188eu-dkms

  • reboot

  • sudo mhwd -i pci network-r8168

  • reboot and work

  • Restart Network Manager if needed sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager
