The listed solution didn’t work for me. It’s just returning:

cp: cannot stat 'grub/x86_64-efi/core.efi': No such file or directory

Please provide system information as described (below). Also follow links provided to learn how to use the Support forum effectively – Forum Rules are required reading.

Use the forum Search, the Wiki and other resources as needed to find information that might help.

The Update Announcement thread for your particular Manjaro branch is useful prior to updating.

Assuming Manjaro Stable, the Stable Announcement thread is usually relevant, particularly the **Known Issues and Solutions section.

I’m sure someone will help when they are able.

Regards.

Welcome to the Manjaro community

It is important to provide as much actionable information as possible in your first post, rather than simply indicating there is a problem. Please also be prepared to provide output from commands if/when asked.

Simply waiting for others to ask you questions is counter-productive – typically, nobody has a :crystal_ball: at their disposal – and your clear, concise and accurate input is often relied upon in order to help you.

Please help others to make informed suggestions based on information you provide.

System Information

While information from *-fetch type apps might be fine for someone wishing to buy your computer, for Support purposes it’s better to ask your system directly; :eyes:

Output of the inxi command (with appropriate parameters, and formatted according to forum guidelines) will generate information useful for those wishing to help:

Suggested inxi command (use either):

inxi -zv8 (short-form)
inxi --filter --verbosity=8 (long-form)
inxi man pages (manual)
If running `inxi` within a `chroot` environment
  • Add --color=0 to the long-form command, or…
  • Change the short-form command to inxi -zv8c0

As good as any. I had intended to rename it myself, but was side-tracked.

@jeden5

The more information you can provide, and the clearer and more precise the descriptions you give, the better will be the help that others might give.

Without that clarity, many will simply move on to another topic that they might find easier to understand and offer assistance for.

Please, help others to help you.

In the other thread, a link to this information was marked as the solution to their issue:

A more complete procedure:

1. Boot with the Manjaro Installer USB and enter a chroot environment via the Terminal.

Information on entering chroot can be found here:

2. Once in chroot the suggested “install-grub” method should have been:

Firstly, install the install-grub script. :eyes:

  • pacman -S install-grub
(the script may not be installed by default)
  • install-grub
    (replaces the installed grub instance)
  • update-grub
    (updates the grub configuration)
  • exit
    (exits the chroot environment)

3. Reboot to your Manjaro system.

Instuctions for the more traditional Grub restore procedure;
if needed / for reference:
